The word entertainment, which combines the Latin prefix inter- with the Indo-European root ten (to hold inside) is at once expansive and restrictive. It holds inside a vast amount of content that is as broad and diverse as the many forms of entertainment that have emerged from it. In some cases, what appears to be entertainment may actually be a form of education or a way to achieve intellectual growth. Entertaiment, the Fall 2011 issue of T E News, explores this wide spectrum of themes and images through a diverse array of sources.
