Entertainment is an agreeable occupation for the mind; a diversion or amusement. It is often associated with the performance of theatre, music, dance and games, but can also include such everyday activities as solving a crossword or engaging in sports. While technological change has altered the availability, cost and quality of entertainment products, the form of many types of familiar entertainment is unchanged and stable: for example, the story of Scheherazade from the professional storytelling tradition was retold in orchestral compositions by Rimsky-Korsakov, Ravel and Szymanowski; made into a film by Pasolini and now available as an innovative video game.
